Skincare is something I take very seriously and is apart of my daily ‘beauty’ routine. I’ve watched so many beauty vloggers use and continuously talk about how great rosewater is. So thank you to the Youtube community I finally caved and decided to give it a try.
Rosewater is essentially made by the steeping of rose petals in water. Rosewater is a natural anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant. The aroma of rosewater alone is said to be a powerful mood enhancer as well as its ability in reducing anxiety symptoms.
I now am officially hooked on using rosewater in my daily skincare routine. The following list below are some of the things I use rosewater for as well as some other creative uses!
Makeup: Use it as a makeup setting spray! The main ingredient in almost all makeup setting sprays is water, including brands like NYX, MAC and Urban Decay. Buying a multi-use product like rosewater will save you $$ in the long run.
Hair: Rosewater serves as a natural conditioner, helps in reducing the amount of frizz and adds moisture back into your hair. Let’s not forget that it helps add shine into your hair to, who doesn’t want that?
Skincare: Rosewater has so many benefits to using it as a skincare item. From soothing dry sensitive skin, acne and eczema to helping reduce the look of redness! Rosewater also is a great natural moisturizer for your skin. Finally, thanks to rosewater’s antioxidant ingredients it can help strengthen your skin cells.
Other Benefits: Thanks to rosewater’s natural anti-inflammation ingredients it can help in reducing inflammation. It’s even said that rosewater can be beneficial to healing sunburns and cuts! Finally, it even has the power to balance your skins natural PH levels.
So as you can see, rosewater has astounding benefits for a wide range of things. It has quickly become an everyday essential for me!
