Easter Decor

Hip, Hop, Horray! Easter is finally here which means, I can eat all the chocolate I want minus all the funny looks-Yay!

Decorating for Easter doesn’t have to be an extravagant task. Bringing in beautiful, soft pastel colours with slight hints of Easter and Spring is all you need to do.

Floral arrangements scream Springtime with their soft, fresh colouring. Consider using Spring flowers like peonies, daffodils or tulips!

You can easily make the arrangement look fuller by tossing in some baby’s breath or pussy willow. Throw in some decorative Easter stems and it can easily be used as a centrepiece.

Now for the more obvious Easter decor items such as bunny figures, garland and decorative eggs.

Like finding a new blossom in your garden, discovering a cleverly hidden bunny around the house can add a surprising touch of wonder to your Easter celebration. Spread these decorative items around the house where your guests will see them. Consider grouping the items to make a centrepiece for the dining table.

By using “Table Scatter” it is an easy way of adding colour and texture to the tabletop. It is a fun, unexpected way to add some flair in the dining room.

If you are feeling crafty enough, try making a DIY bunny garland! You can hang it off  the mantel or have it displayed elsewhere around the house. It is super easy to do and only took me about 45 minutes to make!

Decorative Easter eggs can be used for multiple purposes and can be found just about anywhere this time of year. Use them in the bottom of a vase to add a special touch to a floral arrangement, scatter them around the table or use them as place cards!

Just remember to add bursts of soft pastel colours, fresh blooming florals, and lively Easter accessories to your home to effortlessly transition it into Easter.

Stay tuned for next weeks post on some easy, quick Easter DIY’s!

  1. Loved your ideas Shelby. I think I am going to put some coloured eggs in my lantern. I also loved your bunnies especially the little ‘hop to it’ plaque. Looking forward to next weeks posts. 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰
