Realistic New Years Resolution’s

Happy New Year Everybody!

A new year comes with a fresh start, clean slate, changes and new beginnings!

New Years is a time for people to reflect on last year and promise to make positive lifestyle changes. By making your resolutions realistic, you have a higher chance of keeping & reaching all your goals. Go you!

Here are some of my realistic resolutions for having a fantastic 2018…


Clean & Organized

  • no more hoarding junk for this gal! I plan on keeping my room/workspace neat and tidy to get more accomplished!

Write It Down

  • I don’t know about you guys but nothing gets done around here unless it’s written down…
  • Use a planner, calendar, run a to-do list, whatever will keep you organized!

Identify Time-Wasters

  • a lot of tasks don’t get done due to time-wasters and we all use the excuse, “I don’t have time.” Truth is, you have to make time.
  • Limit your time on social media and tv, you’d be surprised how motivated you’ll soon become.

Plan On Doing More

  • listening, doing, encouraging, smiling, understanding, loving, gratefullness…

Meet New People

  • get out there & explore!

Be Happier

  • it takes time and patience to learn to find joy in the little things and to not let problems bring you down.

Read More

  • books are an excellent way to gain knowledge on a huge variety of topics, not to mention it’s great exercise for your brain!

Volunteer

  • helping those in need and less fortunate is a very valuable job/skill.
  • it’s an opportunity to meet new people, learn new things and boost your resume.

Perfection is unattainable. Making mistakes and having setbacks while reaching your goals are perfectly ok!

  1. I don’t ever do resolutions, I think they’re a bit silly. But I always respect other peoples decision of doing so 🙂 I know I want to get better at planning and writing down notes, especially for my reviews on here, but I also wanna spend less time on social media as I think it takes over too much time too often.

    • I couldn’t agree more! I don’t usually set new year resolutions either, but I thought these were some things that I already do but just want to get better at! Writing down things really helps with your memory and you’re often left with not forgetting things that way! Thanks for reading, xo.

  2. Hey! I’ve got to say they are good goals, mine are similarncheck it out if you can. 🙂 I never use to write down or even think about new years resolutions but I did it last year and I managed to do almost all of them which normally I wouldn’t have *hides face*.

  3. Love these goals! I always feel like my resolutions last for the first three months of the year, but the stop shortly after spring break is over. I love how you chose such easily attainable goals. I’m still figuring out my resolutions so I’ll be consulting this list for inspiration that lasts more than three months!
