It’s easy to become so focused on getting everything done that you might forget to take care of the person carrying out all those “to-dos”. I talk a lot about self care here on True Bliss as it plays a crucial part in your well being.
This year has been a year of real change and growth for me. I spent most of 2016 filled with anxiety and exhaustion but this year (2017) I’ve felt better. I feel happy, strong, loved and more than anything, grateful.
So today I wanted to share with you 22 things I’ve learnt this year. Some are deep, life changing realizations, and others are a bit more lighthearted, but all of them are lessons I’ve been so glad to learn…
First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians and Happy early Thanksgiving to everyone else.
I sit here today while sipping at my tea, looking out my window and smile. I have so much to be thankful for.
I realize that the world today is full of pain, hardship, anger and judgment. So being able to look past all of this and be thankful, is something to truly be happy about.
When I was younger I didn’t understand the true meaning of gratitude or being thankful. I believed it was something we were all to think about on Thanksgiving and share around the dinner table. Today, I realize it’s something worth doing everyday as it’s a choice we were given.
So today, I choose to make a list.
